Daffodils are carefree and easy to grow. Deer and rabbits avoid them. There are many reputable sources for daffodils. We specialize in daffodils that are not easy to find and ship them in May along with your daylily order. We offer three daffodil cultivars: Narcissus 'Actaea', N. 'Kassels Gold', and N. 'Stylish'; see details and pics below.

Narcissus 'Actaea' (G. Lubbe and son, before 1919)

Narcissus 'Actaea' (G. Lubbe and son, before 1919)
Narcissus 'Actaea' (G. Lubbe and son, before 1919)
N. 'Actaea' is glistening white a with very shallow ribbed yellow corona with greenish yellow at the base and a band of orange-red at the rim. This historic Poeticus daffodil has won multiple awards, including the Wister in 2012. It is the latest-blooming daffodil in our garden. Three bare-root bulbs for $20.

Narcissus 'Kassels Gold' (Nic. Dofferhof, 1984)

Narcissus 'Kassels Gold' (Nic. Dofferhof, 1984)
N. 'Kassels Gold' has bright, almost day-glow blooms with brilliant greenish yellow perianth segments and a vivid yellow corona with a slightly darker color at the rim. Trumpet long-cupped. I fell in love with this when I first saw it at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in Chaska, and was lucky to track down the importer and purchase a few bulbs from him. His nursery was about to open when he passed away. This daffodil is very difficult to find, and it is my favorite out of all the daffodils I grow. It is vigorous and naturalizes well. Parents are Dominator X Golden Harvest. Limited. Three bare-root bulbs for $25.

Narcissus 'Primeur' (P. de Jager and sons, 1978)

Narcissus 'Primeur' (P. de Jager and sons, 1978)
N. 'Primeur' is vivid yellow with a slightly darker yellow corona. Trumpet long-cupped. Naturalizes well and has good garden value. Three bare-root bulbs for $20.

Narcissus 'Stylish' (Phil and Graham Phillips, 1975)

Narcissus 'Stylish' (Phil and Graham Phillips, 1975)
Narcissus 'Stylish' (Phil and Graham Phillips, 1975)
N. 'Stylish' has oblong overlapped light orange perianth segments with a lightly ribbed strong orange corona. Large-cupped. This luscious daffodil reminds us of butterscotch, and we've not seen another daffodil with colors quite like it. Limited. Three bare-root bulbs for $20.
